Hotel Description:
We have decided to open our home to those who wish to experience the simplerhythm of Tuscan country life. It is certainly an unforgettable experience to wake to the twittering of birds or to the call of "Chicco" the rooster, to breakfast on the genuine products of our land and to relax in the garden with a glass of fine wine. We have destined three bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, to these guests. In addition our family rooms are all open for use; the library and study, the sitting rooms (with TV Color) and the dining room, where upon request we can serve dinners based on traditional farmhouse cuisine. Casa Bellavista is furnished with family owned pieces from the 18th to 20th Centuries. The first written records of Casa Bellavista, from the second half of the 18Th Century, tell of a farm that worked extensive areas of the fertile land around the house until the end of the 1960's. The farm's olive groves produced fine Extra Virgin Oil, it's vineyards classic local reds. Fields were also given over to cereal crops and tobacco, traditionally grown in the Chiana valley for use un the famous Tuscan cigars. The small house within the ground was originally built as a drying shed where the tobacco would be lightly dried before being sent off for manufacture. The ground floor rooms of Casa Bellavista were originally the stables for the cattle, the famous white "Chiana" breed particular to this valley. The upper floor was the family home. Today only the outer walls and a few internal features remain to remind us of those times, owing to extensive restoration during the 70's and 80's. There is a swimming pool available in the garden (6 x 14 mt)

The Green room - Camera Verde:
Elegant and comfortable room, with sight on the garden north, is furnished with furniture of the XIX century in art poor Tuscan and liberty. The slim colors of the room make it particularly pleasant. Ample deprived bath equipped with shower.
The Blue room - Camera Azzurra:
Particularly warm and pleasant, it is furnished with furniture of the XVIII century. The ample bath is equipped with double sink in marble, shower and tub.
The Pink Room - Camera Rosa:
Ample and comforting room with a fantastic sight of 80 kms with I break down it some Amiata Mountain. The room is set to south with an ample balcony. Also from the bath it enjoys him of good sight, this last it is equipped with shower.

Casa Bellavista is situated on a hill overlooking the valley at 318m above sea level and enjoys a 360° view of it's surroundings. To the south the ancient Abbey of Farneta is visible, to the southwest Monte Amiata, to the west the town of Foiano della Chiana, to the northwest the valley of Arezzo, to the north Monte Egidio and to the northeast a marvellous view of the town of Cortona.

COMING FROM THE Highway "AUTOSTRADA" A1: Leave the Autostrada at the Valdichiana Exit. Turn onto the Superstrada in the direction of Perugia , leaving at the following exit (Foiano della Chiana-Cortona) At the exit follow signs for Foiano and after 400m turn right following signs for Fratta-S.Caterina. After 2,8 Km next to a ruined building on your right, turn right. Follow this road uphill for 1km, at the crossroads turn right and at the crossroads immediately after the turn keep to the left-hand road. Follow this for 600m, turn right onto a dirt road. Casa Bellavista is directly in front of you. COMING FROM CORTONA: From the city walls, after Piazzale del Mercato, turn left flowing signs for Arezzo (in front of Porta Santa Maria), follow downhill for 2 km. At the crossroads go ahead for S.Caterina - Fratta and go on for 3,5 km. At the next crossroads follow for Creti, go on for 3km and turn right following for Creti again. After 6km turn left at the crossroads, 800m later turn left again and go on for 600m to another crossroads. Turn right here onto a dirt road. Casa Bellavista is directly in front of you.

On request is possible to dine at Casa Bellavista with Tipical Tuscan dishes The closest reataurant is 6kms away from the B&B. Its name is "Ristorante di Walter Redaelli" - Loc. la Bandita di Bettolle Sinalunga, in Cortona, and many other restaurants in the historic center.
